I didn't like the looks of the 992 very much initially, but it is quickly growing on me. Still not sure about the lower front grill, but maybe a factory aero kit will fix that.

I get it, the Evora is more raw and the 911 is overly refined.
What is missing from every review is ownership experience and the challenges in dealing with Lotuses. That’s what kills interest from prospective buyers more than the driving experience.

There’s several thing I don’t like: the front clip, the vertical brake lights, the new wing... Also, I want my first Porsche to have an NA flat six.
Honestly, it’s not a bad thing in my mind when a new car comes out and I like it less than the earlier one. Since I’m going to be buying used, it means that the one I want is on its way to me. If the new one’s better, that pushes the years back a little. For example, I want an M2 Competition or a ‘19 ND Miata Club w/ B B R, not the earlier versions, but the Porsches I lust after (short of the GT3), are a few years old now.
